FHF Support Network Moves to Boost Women’s Health, Wellness

Not-for-Profit organisation, Feminine Health & Fibroid (FHF) Support Network, will in October 2021 hold four live Instagram sessions featuring health and lifestyle professionals.The forum, scheduled for 7.00 p.m. every Thursday, will showcase questions and answers relating to feminine health and wellness.The founder, Mrs. Toyin Taiwo, who disclosed an outline of programmes, said the group would also host a five-kilometre ‘Walk & Talk’ in November with the theme, ‘Speak Up’.The event, aimed at encouraging openness and collaboration around issues women are facing, hopes to enhance physical fitness and mental health through walking, talking and discussion.“This walk will be hosted in Essex, UK and Lagos, Nigeria. Participants in other regional areas can join by video or by walking with a partner and posting their ‘Walk & Talk’ video on our online hub and platforms,” said Taiwo.Highlighting what Nigerian women and their counterparts around the world stand to gain from FHF Support Network, Taiwo said the group encourages conversations and proffer solutions concerning predominant women’s health issues.“This is a platform where women can share their experiences, get support, get advice and education, support others, create awareness and be sign-posted to find solutions so that other women won’t go through the same unpleasant experiences they’ve endured and survived.”She said the year’s activities would be capped in December with a breakfast meet-up at venues in the UK and Nigeria to be announced shortly.During a two-hour webinar at its inaugural launch on September 18, 2021, FHF Support Network highlighted the challenges faced by women dealing with health issues, the need for a trusted support group and the courage to speak out. The webinar also gave light to alternative treatments for fibroid and lifestyle adjustments.
