Amidst nationwide protests, the 6th induction ceremony for newly qualified nurses held on the 1st August 2024, at the University of Port Harcourt and was marked by the presentation of the prestigious NursingWorld Best Graduating Student Award.  The event took place at the CBN Center of Excellence, with Amanda Anozie of Nursingworld Nigeria on hand to honor outstanding achievements in nursing education.This year’s award recognized Orji Marvelous Tamunomiete and Jonah Emmanuel Solomon for their exceptional academic performance. Both students were presented with a cash prize of N50,000 each, underscoring their hard work and dedication to the nursing profession.The NursingWorld Best Graduating Student Award, established to promote academic excellence among nursing graduates, is awarded annually to top-performing students. The initiative aims to foster healthy competition and encourage high standards within the nursing community.Heads of Nursing Departments are encouraged to nominate exceptional students for this award, providing evidence of their academic achievements.
