Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Matriculation requirements
- Third-class degree in relevant field
- HND with minimum credit pass
Master’s Programme
- Matriculation requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Second-Class Lower
- CGPA of 3.00 (Biochemistry) or 2.75 (Biological Sciences)
- PGD with credit level pass
Master’s/PhD Programme
- Matriculation requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Second-Class Lower
- Master’s degree with CGPA of at least 3.20 on a 5.00 scale
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Matriculation requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Second-Class Lower
- Master’s degree with CGPA of at least 3.50/4.00 on a 5.00 scale
- For PhD in Reproductive Health: Holders of Full/Part 1 Fellowship of NPMCN or WACS are eligible
Additional Requirements
- Academic transcripts (to be sent directly to the Dean, Postgraduate School)
- Two referees (one academic)
- NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Letter

- PGD: 2–4 semesters
- MSc: 4–6 semesters
- MSc/PhD: 8–10 semesters
- PhD: 6–8 semesters
- PhD (Clinical Sciences): 4–6 semesters
Part-Time
- PGD: 4–6 semesters
- MSc: 6–8 semesters
- MSc/PhD: 10–12 semesters
- PhD: 8–10 semesters
- PhD (Clinical Sciences): 6–8 semesters
