    The Dietitians Association of Nigeria (DAN) remains committed to advancing the profession of Dietetics through excellence in practice, innovation, advocacy, research and sustainable nutrition interventions. The Association further commits to strengthening the roles of Dietitians in improving the health, well-being and development of the Nigerian population.  

    In alignment with the Executive, Regulatory, and technical briefs presented during the conference, and following extensive deliberations on the future of Nutrition and Dietetics in Nigeria, the Dietitians Association of Nigeria (DAN) resolves as follows:  

    • 1. Systemic Integration and Multi-Sectoral Collaboration with public and private sectors  
    • 2. Workforce Capacity, Regulation, and Soft-Skill Upgrades capable of responding to emerging national and global nutrition challenges  
    • 3. Professional Standards, Recognition, and Remuneration in accordance with local and international regulatory standards  
    • 4. Market-Facing Interventions, SME Innovations, and Sustainability utilizing Government innovation pathways to open lines to local and international markets  

    CHARGE TO NEWLY INDUCTED DIETITIANS  

    The Association congratulates all newly inducted Dietitians and charges them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, competence and ethical conduct in the discharge of their duties.  

    The Guests of Honour further urged the inductees to practice with excellence, rigour and compassion, noting that sustained professional excellence and impactful service remain the most effective means of advancing public understanding and appreciation of the Dietetics profession.

    The Association expresses its sincere gratitude to all special guests, participants, speakers, partners, organising committees and stakeholders who graced the occasion and whose contributions ensured the success of the Conference.
