Mota-Engil has successfully completed a specialized Ambulance Driver Training program for its personnel across Kazaure, Wudil, and Katsina, as part of its ongoing commitment to workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and operational excellence.

The training, facilitated by MedicalWorld Nigeria, focused on key areas including emergency response driving, defensive driving techniques, patient transport safety, communication during emergencies, vehicle inspection, and safe ambulance operations in challenging field environments.

Speaking during the training, Zulaihatu Abdullahi Goje of the SHEQ (Health and Safety) department emphasized the importance of equipping drivers with the practical knowledge and skills required to respond effectively and safely during emergencies across project locations.

She noted that continuous training remains essential in maintaining high safety standards and protecting both personnel and operations.

Participants described the training as highly impactful, interactive, and practical. Several attendees commended the hands-on approach adopted during the sessions, stating that the program improved their understanding of emergency driving procedures, patient handling considerations, and safety protocols while operating ambulances in remote and high-risk environments.

The successful completion of the program further highlights Mota-Engil’s dedication to investing in the development of its workforce and promoting a strong culture of safety across its Nigerian operations.
